    JOB DESCRIPTION

    We are looking for a qualified GC Lab Analyst to undertake a variety of laboratory techniques for EPA Methods. You will be handling sensitive equipment to analyze samples and conduct tests reporting findings to a laboratory manager and clients. Ideal candidate has a record of GC troubleshooting and maintenance. familiarity with Chem Station EnviroQuant is plus. The individual will be passionate for diligence and accuracy in making things move forward and will promote a positive work environment.

    The incumbent will be responsible for QA oversight of laboratory compliance, including but not limited to review and approval of testing and documentation, investigations, method validations/transfers, change controls, stability management.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Operate testing instrumentation.
    • Maintain and perform troubleshooting on GC?s.
    • Organize and store all chemicals substances, fluids and compressed gases according to safety instructions
    • Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility
    • Maintain and assist in ordering laboratory supplies

  • Metals Department Manager

    Employment Requirement
    • Oversight of 2 analysts running soil and water environmental samples for Metals by ICP/MS
    • Ensure the metals department is following all required QA/QC requirements set forth in TNI (ISO/IEC 17025), SW-846, 40 CFR 136, 40 CFR 141, and NJDEP rules
    • Hold departmental training, as necessary
    • Work with IT to keep systems up to date
    • Continuous improvement

    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree or above from an accredited college in a Science Field, minimum 24 credit hours in chemistry. Transcripts will be required upon offer.
    • Minimum one year of laboratory experience and MUST have minimum six months experience operating ICP/MS Agilent 7900/Masshunter 4.6. Ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience
    • Experience with AA FIMS 100/WinLab32
    • Familiar with analytical procedures and EPA methods 200.8, 6020B, 245.1, 7470A and 7471B
    • Familiar with metals digestion EPA methods 3005A, 3050B, 3010A and 200.8
    • Proficient spoken and written English
    • Punctual, meticulous and reliableStrong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel
