IAL operates one environmental/air division within our 30,000 square-foot Randolph, New Jersey facility and performs over 100,000 certified analytical tests annually. We maintain the industry accreditations and quality control procedures pertinent to the success and defensibility of the laboratory services and data we provide our clients.

Established in 1987, Integrated Analytical Laboratories, LLC (IAL) is an employee-owned company that provides exceptional analytical services and solutions to the Environmental Industries. IAL's mission is to provide our clients with highly responsive and efficient services and support, to stay vested and active in the successful outcome of every project, and to consistently implement a long-term vision aligned with the goals of the customer.
We strive to provide our clients with the data, tools, and knowledge necessary for meeting their project requirements every step of the way - from a selection of data reporting formats to Technical Memos highlighting regulatory updates.
What We Do
Environmental Division – This division is designed to meet the requirements of the environmental marketplace. IAL offers a full range of air, soil, and water sampling, analytical, and technical support services to an established and expanding client roster of consulting engineers, private industry, and government agencies. We are a NELAP Accredited Laboratory (NELAP #TNI01284). We hold state-specific Laboratory Certifications in CT, NJ, NY, and PA, and can perform analyses in a number of other states.
What We Deliver
IAL's experienced staff is at the core of IAL's solid customer service and analytical reputation. Known for focusing on the individual needs of the client, our team understands the chemistry behind the results and is able to assist our clients in all project phases, from project planning through project reporting. We provide the technical insight and resources critical to the development of sampling and analytical programs, the proper collection of varied sample matrices, and the interpretation of resultant data. Our technical knowledge and products are backed by documented Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) programs tailored to the standards applicable to each of our divisions. With a robust data management system, IAL is able to quickly and seamlessly deliver laboratory results to our clients in a variety of formats for most commons software and modeling applications and to address federal and state regulatory submission requirements.

President and Laboratory Director
Michael Leftin, Ph.D.
Dr. Leftin provides strategic direction and hands on leadership in our laboratory, resulting in continual improvements to service delivery and profitability. He possesses decades of experience in solving a wide range of development, manufacturing and process problems. Before establishing Integrated Analytical Laboratories in 1988, he was a Senior Research Scientist at Rohm and Haas Company, where he directed numerous research and development programs on water-based coatings, including novel cross-linking monomers and corrosion resistant materials. Prior to joining Rohm and Haas, Dr. Leftin was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Biophysica Foundation, La Jolla, CA, where his work focused on synthesis and development of blood soluble triodoaromatic compounds for use as diagnostic radioopaque imaging agents.
Dr. Leftin holds a Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from the University of California, San Diego, and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Colorado.

Director, Information Technology
Angela Chang
Angela is our IT Director, with the primary responsibilities of design and development of the LIMS system using Thermo Nautilus. She developed applications to import/export data to the LIMS system using Visual Basic, and developed and maintains internal/client reports from the LIMS system using Crystal Reports. She developed and maintained Web Applications, and maintains IAL's Domain Servers, Workstations, Phone Systems, T1 and VoIP Lines, and other office equipment. Angela developed applications to communicate with Lab Equipment to gather data for the LIMS system. She has developed and maintained Network Communication architectures and devices such as Cisco Firewall (PIX), Cisco Switches, TCP/IP, 10/100/1000 Cat5/Cat6 Network Cables, A/B/G Wireless Access Point and devices, and Bluetooth devices.
Angela holds a B.S. in Computer Sciences and Mathematics from Montclair State University, and an M.S. in Graphic Communication and Technology from New York University.
